i-BRIGHT7x Network port requirements

The ports required by i-BRIGHT7x are normally open and available by default with most common Home/Office routers, in most cases there is no need to open any ports to successfully use and setup you device. The following table shows a list of the ports used by i-BRIGHT7x:

8600 i-BRIGHT7x Outgoing Provides connectivity between i-BRIGHT7x and BRIGHTenergy cloud system.
67, 68 UDP  i-BRIGHT7x / Wireless Client Incoming/Outgoing DHCP uses UDP ports 67 and 68 to initiate communication between the client and server. Used for DNS Resolution. Note: This is a common port and should not be blocked by most home/office routers.
8080 i-BRIGHT7x Incoming Used by Device Setup Application during device setup. Note: Not blocked by default with latest routers.
80 i-BRIGHT7x incoming Used for advanced device management.
53 UDP i-BRIGHT7x Incoming/Outgoing Used for DNS Resolution. Note: This is a common port and should not be blocked by most home/office routers.
23 i-BRIGHT7x incoming Used for Advanced troubleshooting.
